Wellington North Badminton Association is hosting the first Junior Social Badminton Tournament of 2021.
The aim of this tournament is to provide developing players in clubs, schools and shuttle time programmes an introduction to badminton competitions in a fun and inclusive environment, as well as encourage players to participate in multiple events to gain more experience.
The event will be open entry to all junior players aged 10 and above, who have not represented an association in any age group team or junior representative squad for the past 12 months. Players can enter in their own age group and an age group above, but no more than 3 events in total.
Organisers will create a round robin draw based on the number of entries. If the number of players permit we will advance to a knock out stage after the round robins to determine overall winners.
Players will play 1 game to 31 points, or 10 mins what ever happens first.
