Shuttle Time at Schools

Last updated: 02/12/2020

The Shuttle Time programme supports the principle that children should lead a healthy and active life, both in and out of school; and are design to provide children with a positive image of badminton through many opportunities to have fun, engage with others and experience success.

Badminton activities are easily adaptable and can be delivered to large groups of pupils simultaneously, making it an ideal school sport. Benefits of delivering badminton to children in schools include:

  • Boys and girls of all ages can participate.
  • Badminton is a non-contact, low impact sport.
  • Badminton offers opportunities for pupils to experience individual and team based activities.
  • Can be played indoors and outdoors (weather permitted).
  • Badminton activities can be delivered to large groups of pupils in areas with limited space.
  • Inclusive sport- children with a physical or intellectual disability can actively participate in badminton.

As part of our delivery of the Shuttle Time programme, we can also offer school teachers access to free resources and training, which support the teaching of enjoyable, safe and inclusive badminton activities to children aged 5-17 years old.

We are able to run and adopt a range of different programmes to cater to your needs, whether that's before school, in-curriculum and/or after school. Please contact Babette for any further information via
