In line with the latest announcement by the Government, some restrictions will ease at the Wellington North Badminton Stadium. We will continue to operate with added precautions to keep our community safe. Effective immediately, the extended stadium hours will resumed. These measures will remain in place whilst Wellington is under COVID Alert Level 2.

What has changed:

  • A maximum of 6 players per court per booking
  • Extended stadium hours have resumed
  • Staff will continue to do spot checks via CCTV to make sure everyone complies with these new guidelines, failure to do so may result your account/membership being suspended and/or cancelled

Existing precautions reinstated for Alert L2:

  • Whilst in the stadium, you're encouraged to wear a face covering whenever you're not on court playing
  • Stay 2 metres from others whenever possible, especially when you're not on court. We've added some visual aids in the stadium to assist with the distancing requirement
  • A new one way traffic system has been put in place to minimise any congestion
  • Updated booking procedures to meet record keeping requirements. (see below)
  • Bookings are limited to a maximum of 2 hours
  • All changing rooms (except the disabled bathroom) will be closed
  • Upstairs facilities will be unavailable and cordoned off
  • Watercooler will be unavailable, please bring your own drinks
  • All court side benches have been removed to encourage physical distancing whilst players are off court
  • Please put all rubbish and used shuttles in the bin at the end of your session
  • Contactless/Card payments are preferred to reduce cash handling

Clubs, trainings and in-stadium programmes

All clubs, training and in-stadium programmes (such as Shuttle Time programmes) can operate under Alert Level 2. The majority of clubs and programmes have returned, please check with your club management to confirm when your club sessions will return. If you or your children are feeling unwell, you MUST stay home and DO NOT attend any sessions at the stadium.

New Booking Procedures

In line with the new mandatory record keeping requirements as part of NZ's response to COVID-19, we have made some changes to how you make a booking.

Bookings made while under ANY alert levels will now require all players to be listed in the booking for record keeping purposes. This also means, when activating your booking, at least 2 named players must be present at the kiosk (with their PIN or keytag) in order to activate the bookings.

If the players already have a Hello Club account with us, simply starting typing their name and add them to the booking.
