What a great day it was at the recent Capital Region Badminton Open Day hosted by Wellington North Badminton. We had close to 200 people through, who played some fun games and got to see some demonstration matches from experienced players.

This was a chance for the local community to come in and check out the facilities, have a go, play some fun games, learn about coaching and clubs on offer and watch some demonstration matches.

Team WN Junior Squad ran a sausage sizzle to raise money for their upcoming events and travel expenses.

Children of all ages had fun playing with balloons, shuttles, and each other to win lollies and chocolates.

Thanks to all the student youth leaders and junior players who helped on the day. Special thanks to Countdown Tawa for their donation of lollies, chocolates, and balloons.

A great day was had by all.
