Last updated: 08/03/2020

Manawatu Open 2020 has provided an early opportunity for players across the Central Region and nationally to kick start the 2020 season. It was a good day at the office for a number of Team WN players over the weekend at the Central Energy Trust Area.

Luke Falvey was unfased by the challenge from Jasmanjot Virk (WKO) booking himself a spot in the Men Singles Final, taking his first title for the 2020 season after a close encounter against Avinash Shastri (WEL).

On the women side of the draw, Caragh Alley progressed to the final without dropping a game in the group stage, overcoming Angela Tuason (WEL) in 2 straight games, securing her first Women Singles title of 2020. Alley was not done yet! Also seeded number 1 with partner Angela Tuason (WEL) in the Women Doubles draw, dominating their way through to the final, triumphing over Laura Suddaby and Emily Beard (WEL).
