Important Changes to Court Hire

As a result of increased costs and demand on the stadium, we are looking to make some changes as to how court hire is managed at the Wellington North Badminton Stadium. There have been no increases to court hire since 2019, however a small increase to court hire will come into effect from 1 December 2021. We will also be updating the Court Booking & Fair Usage Policy to better reflect actual usage of the courts, and provide equitable access to all players.

New Court Hire Rates

Club Members$15.00/hr$18.00/hr
Stadium Members$15.00/hr$20.00/hr
Peak hours: Mon-Fri 16:00-20:00
Effective from 1 December 2021

Booking Window

Starting from 1 December 2021, you will only be able to book a court up to 7 days in advance. We understand plans can change, shortening the booking window will provide more certainty, and help reduce any cancellations that may cause disruptions.

Peak Hours

Based on usage data, we have updated the new peak hours to Monday to Friday, 16:00-20:00 Only. All other times, including the weekends are now considered off-peak.

Peak Hours Restrictions

Concurrent bookings (book more than one court at a time) are already restricted for all booking. Consecutive bookings (one after another) will also be restricted for peak hours from 1 Dec 2021. This means you are only able to book up to 1 hour at a time during peak hours. Please review the updated Court Booking & Fair Usage Policy for more details.
