If you are great with kids, and enjoy sports, we want to hear from you! We are seeking an energetic, fresh thinking and well organised individual to join our community development team as our new Community Development Officer.
Based at the Wellington North Badminton Stadium in Tawa (however travel will be required for work across the Wellington North region – north of Ngaio to south of Pukerua Bay, own vehicle required with mileage reimbursed), this is a casual part-time (approx. 10 hours per week) role, with the possibility of more hours during the badminton season (April to end of September).
The aim of the role is to deliver Wellington North Badminton Shuttle Time programmes and assist with any Wellington North Badminton hosted events and competitions. We will provide full training as part of the role. The role is most busy and demanding during the March-October period with a quieter period between November and February. Working over some evening hours and weekend will be required.
Wellington North Badminton is seeking a person with excellent time management and communication skills, and a passion in community sports and working with children of all ages. Badminton delivery, event and tournament experience is desirable, but not essential. You need to be a real self-starter and have an eye for details.
Applications close: Midday, Wednesday 31 March 2021. Preferred candidates will be contacted before application closes as we are keen to bring the right person onboard as early as possible.
